Being Sports Medicine doctors who help athletes of all ages maintain an active lifestyle, we structured this online program to include only the essential steps necessary to bring more simplicity and good health to your life, while reducing the effects of stress so that you can live each day with more energy and exuberance.
We consistently contribute nationally to the professional development of our Sports Medicine colleagues. This program has not previously been made available to our sports medicine patients because there is not enough time during the course of a 1-hour consultation or 30-minute follow-up to share all of the information in its entirety in an actionable format. Today’s world of medicine is more focused on less time with the doctor while issuing more prescriptions. Our goal is to reverse this trend!

We’ve distilled the best of our 20+ combined years in physiatry and sports medicine into 3 1/2 months of practical exercises, insights and challenges to help you improve your health and lifestyle from where you are to where you deserve to be.
We’ve worked with active people of all shapes and sizes, and no matter what they want— more energy, less stress, happiness, fulfilling relationships, or to live a higher quality of life —what’s at the core of all of that… is HEALTH. WHAT'S IN THE 7 MODULES?
EPISODE 1: SIMPLICITY
Does life feel overwhelming? Do you often think, "Where did my time go?" If your "To-do" list never becomes an "It's done" list, then this episode is for you. Simplifying your life is a skill and prioritizing where you spend your time is key. Multitasking is a fallacy and creating a time budget is your secret weapon for success.
EPISODE 2: SLEEP
If you are like most people, not getting enough sleep is your everyday reality. Insufficient sleep is a physiological disaster that negatively impacts every aspect of your life. Prioritizing your zzz's, optimizing your sleep environment, decoupling sex and sleep, and systematically programing the wind-down of your body at night are key.
EPISODE 3: DIET
When it comes to diet, the numbers don't lie: body mass index and weight matter. The truth is, food is a drug and you cannot compensate for a poor diet. Tracking your food intake, daily weigh-ins, learning to uncouple emotions and eating, managing your food environment, and being mindful of your eating are the pearls necessary to improve your diet.
EPISODE 4: EXERCISE
Our bodies were built for movement! Contrary to what pharmaceutical companies tell you, exercise is the best form of medicine. Forming the habit of taking your regular-dose of exercise is the fountain of youth and is cheaper than plastic surgery. The return on investment in exercise is immense and your body will thank you for it.
EPISODE 5: STRESS MEDIATION
High stress is not good for your health: it leads to disease. Identifying stressors in your life, pro-actively planning to avoid stressors, and learning tools to reactively cope with stress when it happens are essential elements in your stress mediation tool kit. And yes, learning how to slow down, breathe, and counting to 10 really does work.
EPISODE 6: TOXIN REDUCTION
Everyone knows that toxins are bad, but not all toxins are drugs. Do you have activities in your life that take away from regular exercise, time with your family, and the ability to maintain friendships? You will learn how to identify, avoid, modulate, and mitigate the toxins that poison your life.
EPISODE 7: SOCIAL CONNECTION
Social connection is the glue that binds and impacts each of the 6 preceding elements in this Health Optimization Program. Humans are pack animals and social connection is a primary need. Learn how to to build social connections that creates AWESOME through shared purpose and community.
